Welcome to The People’s History of Football series. The aim of the series is to produce a series of football books that would not exist without the passion and knowledge of football fans such as you.

Football publishing is increasingly dominated by high profile player biographies and journalistic side-projects, leaving a whole swathe of information and experiences undocumented…until now.

What I aim to do is create the opportunity to document moments of football history that may otherwise have stayed filed away, either literally in dusty files and journals; or just in our gradually disappearing grey cells.

Many great football books already exist under the radar of the average football book buyer and I hope The People’s History of Football will help pull together other great books in the future.
